Scout Update

Driving the (parked & off) car.

Well it has been 3 weeks since we brought our Scout La Roux home. She is now 8.5 weeks old and has doubled her weight. She has lost a lot of her puppy fur and grown at least 4 inches taller. She has quite the personality - always ready to play, very curious, and the second cutest thing at our house (Jax is #1). Jax and Scout spend a lot of time outside chasing each other. He loves to tease her, and she likes to chase him, it works well.

Here are a few recent pictures of her & Jax playing nice.

Big kisses for Auntie. Jes is Scout's momma, so naturally I am Auntie. It gets plenty confusing with Jax calling each of us the opposite :)

Jax found an escape from Scout's biting by sitting in his truck. She was waiting patiently for an opportunity to strike. Her bites don't hurt all that much - but Jax is really good at dramatacizing them. He screams at the top of his lungs until Jes or I come rescue him. Then he yells at Scout and runs away - making her think it's a game.

Look at that devious grin!
He thinks it's so funny to climb in there because Scout is so territorial.
It only takes a minute for her to notice him and kick him out of her kennel.
